Another Aspartame Story...
On 24 June 2005, we received this note from I.W. concerning her use of aspartame.
"I am a former aspartame user.

For the past three years, I consumed it while drinking coffee at Starbuck's every morning.  I also consumed aspartame containing products such as Light-n-Lively yogurt, Diet Coke, Diet Pepsi, and an assortment of dietetic teas.

Eventually, I suffered from severe alopecia, chest pains, weight gain, bloating, and memory loss.

As of February 4, 2005, I stopped using any products containing aspartame. While my hair loss is still present, it has slightly improved.  I strongly believe it is associated with the phenylalanine, but have yet to prove it after seeing numerous physicians. While I conduct my own research, I am more convinced every day.

Most of all, I am saddened to know that it's still okay to eat this poison! I've called the FDA and learned that it's still perfectly legal, and there's no motion to discontinue its availability in the market.

I am concerned others will suffer as I have because they don't understand the implications of aspartame use."

Thank you I.W. for sharing your story with us.
